Next Steps

SALVATION

Salvation is the term given to the act of giving your life to Jesus. We acknowledge we are broken people in need of redemption, repent of our sinful behavior, believe and accept the sacrifice Jesus made to save us from our sin by dying on a cross and rising from the dead three days later.

John 3:16 says, “God so loved the world He gave His one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life”.

BAPTISM

Baptism is an act of obedience on the part of Christians once we have accepted salvation. It’s important to understand that baptism is not what saves you, only Jesus can do that. However, Jesus did tell us to repent of our sin and then be baptized. Jesus himself was baptized to demonstrate to us the importance of this act. When we are baptized by being immersed in water, we are declaring to ourselves and to the world that we are dead to our sin and now alive in Christ.

Mark 1: 9-11, “At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: ‘You are my Son, Whom I love; with you I am well pleased.’”

TACOS WITH TIM

Tacos with Tim happens 3-4 times a year after the second service. If you are new to Abundant Life we would love to have you join us for lunch to meet Pastor Tim, the church staff, and other key leaders in the church!

ROOTED

This is a class for new believers and anyone else who is new to Abundant Life. It takes place periodically throughout the year. There are four main topics discussed in this class including how to read your Bible, the significance of prayer, the value of worship, and the importance of community.

GIFTED

God has placed gifts inside of all of us that allow us to live a full and abundant life. These gifts equip us for what God has called us to. Come and take a spiritual gifts test and discover how God has designed you!

GET INVOLVED

After discovering your gifts and purpose, its time to grow deeper. We grow best when we are in community with other believers. We encourage  you to get grounded in the Word and prayer by joining a Connect Group as well as finding a place to serve as a volunteer in ministry.

SERVING

We are all members of the body of Christ. As Paul states in 1 Corinthians 12:12, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ”, a body cannot function properly without each of its parts. Each member of the body of Christ is equipped with different gifts that are to be used in part to serve others in the body. Jesus himself said that He came not to be served, but to serve as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28). Service in the Kingdom of God provides a time of fellowship and spiritual growth. It is a necessary and fulfilling part of our faith journey. Contact the church to see what area of ministry you would be best fit to serve.
